Within close proximity to one another you can visit one King Ludwig’s famous fairytale castle, Schloss Linderhof, or the Baroque Basilica Kloster Ettal as well as the Famous Passion Play in Oberammergau. All this makes for a fantastic day trip that offers both culture and history.

Host of the 1936 Winter Olympics, Garmisch-Patenkirchen is, like Oberstdorf, one of the biggest Wintersport destinations in Germany. It also has a beautiful historical town centre and splendid cultural and sporting facilities. From here you can also visit the splendid Gorge - Partnachklamm.

At 2962 metres, Zugspitze is the highest mountain in Germany. You can access the peak of the mountain with either a gondela or ski lift. The stunning mountain panorama, and the close by Eibsee where you can cool your feet, make this fabulous day trip option!

The Bavarian Lakes (136km)
In Bavaria there are countless beautiful, pristine lakes that you can discover one one of your day trips. Some examples include the Starnberger See, Walchensee, Staffelsee  and the Ammersee. Any of these lakes are popular destinations for water sport enthusiasts, hiking or shopping. Or just simply relax and enjoy the idyllic surroundings! The little Seaside towns of Ammerland, Andechs (with the famous dark beer of the Monks!), Diessen and Zwergen all make for great visits.

MUNICH (150 km)
Germany’s third largest city and without doubt one of its most beautiful, Munich is always worth a visit, or two, or three … ! It is a very cultural, scenic, and happy-go-lucky city. After one too many beers at the Hofbrau Haus, just make sure however, you don’t miss your train back!

KONSTANZ SCHWEIZ (2 Hours, 110 km)
In the historic City of Konstanz you will become witness to over 200 years of History. With memorable views over the water and towards the Alps, Konstanz has a special charm.

Innsbruck, Austria (140 km) 
The capital of Tirol, Innsbruck is a beautiful historical town with strong connections to Maximillian I and Maria Theresa. It is located within a valley with a beautiful old town. There are also other attractions including the city‘s dome, The Golden Roof, The Hofburg and also skiing...

VORLARLBERG-Austria (60 km)
The capital of the region Voralberg, Bregenz lies on the Austrian side of Lake Constance and has a fabulous view of the Alps. From here you can also take relaxing boat tours or between Juli and August, you can visit the famous Bregenz town festival.
